About Urbania CAM

Urbania CAM is the construction monitoring service by Urbania, an Argentine proptech company founded in March 2025 in Rosario.

What Urbania does

Urbania digitises the sale and follow-up of real estate developments. The first product was 3D showrooms: interactive walkthroughs where a buyer picks a unit, sees it from the inside and checks its sales status before the building exists. Developers and builders in Argentina, Mexico, Uruguay and the Dominican Republic work on that platform today.

Urbania CAM is the other half of the same problem. Selling off-plan means promising something that is not there yet, and there had to be a way to show that the build is progressing without someone driving to the site with a phone.

Where this product comes from

From a request that kept coming back. The same developers showing a unit in 3D wanted to show the actual site, and site management wanted to stop arguing about progress against loose, undated photos.

Urbania CAM is a solar-powered 4G camera installed on site plus an application to watch it live, talk through its speaker, request reports over WhatsApp and download a timelapse whenever you want. It runs with no mains power and no internet on the premises, which is the real condition of almost any site during its first year.

The company

Urbania was founded in March 2025 in Rosario, province of Santa Fe, Argentina, by Ignacio Apestegui, Tomás Carrari and Juan Cruz Cáceres. The team is ten people full time and around thirty collaborators.

Urbania’s work has been covered by Forbes Argentina, EmpreHouse, Punto Biz, El Ciudadano, La Capital, Minuto Constructivo and Innovación Digital 360.
