We started by asking why a building was still sold with a PDF.
Urbania did not start with cameras. It started with two architecture students who could not understand how a multi-million-dollar building was still being shown with loose floor plans and renders in a folder.
March 2025. Ignacio Apestegui and Tomás Carrari were studying architecture in Rosario, Argentina, and were missing the technical side of what they had in mind. They reached out to Juan Cruz Cáceres on LinkedIn and the three of them got started. The idea was simple to say and hard to build: a developer hands over the floor plans and gets back their entire project, navigable (walkthroughs, units, availability, finishes) from a single link, before a single brick exists.
Three months in they had a stand at Expo Real Estate. Seven months in, the first of the big clients. Today they are ten people full time plus thirty collaborators across several countries, with 58 projects in production at the same time and clients ranging from Portland and Proaco to Fernández Prieto and Grupo Briones. The projects are no longer only local: there are developments in Mexico, Uruguay and the Dominican Republic, and new markets keep opening.
Urbania CAM came out of that. Out of hearing the same question on every site: “how is it coming along?”. We already knew how to show what did not exist yet. What was missing was showing what is happening right now.

No. The camera runs on a solar panel and transmits over 4G with a data SIM included in the price. You mount it where the site needs it, even if not a single cable has been run yet.
Everything: the 4G solar camera, the data SIM, 24/7 live view with alerts, the WhatsApp assistant, the daily photo record, the edited final timelapse video and shipping the hardware to your office. There are no separate costs.
Half-yearly in advance, in US dollars. Published prices exclude VAT.
The minimum coverage is 12 months. If the build runs longer, you renew by half-year at the same price, right through to handover.
One camera covers one face of the site. Most projects use 2: one on the front and one on the rear elevation. You can put your own combination together in the calculator.
Whenever you want, and you do not depend on us. You can take it down and mount it somewhere else with no paperwork, and you can also re-frame it remotely with PTZ from the app itself: pan, tilt and zoom without leaving the office.
Whenever you want, as many times as you want. In the app you pick the period (today, this week, this month or the whole build) and it is generated from what is already recorded, ready to download. You can also grab single photos from any day. The edited final video is separate and is delivered at handover.
