Privacy policy
This policy describes what personal data Urbania CAM handles — the product and this site, urbania.cam — what we use it for, who we share it with, and how to exercise your rights over it.
Last updated: September 15, 2026
1. Who we are and what this policy covers
Urbania CAM is a product by Urbania3D – Soluciones Inmobiliarias y Tecnológicas: the job-site cameras, the tracking panel, the WhatsApp bot and this landing page.
It applies to whoever uses the product — builders and their teams —, to job-site contacts who only connect through WhatsApp, and to anyone who writes to us, whether they hold an account or not. It is specific to Urbania CAM; the group-wide policy, which covers other products, is linked in the last section.
2. What data we handle
Depending on how you use Urbania CAM, we handle:
- Account and team: name, email, phone, role, the sites assigned and the permissions for each screen.
- "WhatsApp-only" contacts: name and phone of someone with chat-only access, with no email or password — they never sign in to the app.
- Job-site camera images: periodic photos, live video and timelapses. They can show people — workers, visitors, anyone passing by — because the camera films the site.
- Camera audio: if the installed model transmits it, the live view can include ambient sound from the site. If you use the talk-through-camera feature, your voice is streamed in real time to its speaker; it is not recorded.
- WhatsApp messages: the text, photos, videos and PDFs exchanged with the bot, plus the conversation state.
- Log and site progress: what gets logged in "On site", the plan milestones, the PDF reports and the social-media content generated from the photos.
- Technical logs: access records, IP address, device and audit actions, for security.
3. Automatic analysis of the photos
To count activity, people, vehicles and machinery in the photos, two engines can coexist:
- A local detector that runs on our own server: it never sends the image to a third party.
- A vision engine by OpenAI (gpt-4o-mini model), which processes a crop of the photo to read details such as hard-hat use — only on sites where this engine is turned on.
4. What we use your data for
We use the above to:
- Provide the service: live view, periodic photos, timelapses, reports, log and WhatsApp progress updates.
- Answer questions and provide support.
- Manage the account and bill the contracted service.
- Prevent abuse and protect the security of the platform.
- Improve the product, on an aggregate basis.
5. Who we share data with
We do not sell or hand over your data to third parties outside the service. The following providers process it on our behalf, as data processors, each under its own policy:
- Supabase (Postgres): the product's database.
- Cloudflare: R2 stores the photos and videos; Pages and Workers publish the panel and this landing page.
- Fly.io: hosts the backend and the bridge that connects to each camera.
- Meta — WhatsApp Business Platform: the bot's messages travel through it.
- OpenAI: AI image analysis, only on sites with that engine turned on (see section 3).
6. Signage on site
Installing the camera is the responsibility of whoever installs it. As good practice, and as a safeguard for whoever works on or passes through the site, we recommend posting a visible sign at the entrance stating that the site is under video surveillance.
7. Retention and deletion
Unless a different term is agreed by contract, we keep data for as long as the contracted service runs and up to 90 days after it ends, unless a legal obligation requires a longer term. After that, we delete or anonymize it.
8. Security
Each person only sees the sites and screens they have permission for, and session activity is audited: who signed in, from where, and what they did. Passwords are stored with scrypt, never in plain text.
9. Your rights
In Argentina, Law 25.326 on the Protection of Personal Data recognizes your right to access, rectify and delete your data, and to file a complaint with the Agencia de Acceso a la Información Pública if you believe we are not respecting them.
To exercise them, write to privacy@urbania3d.app.
10. What is stored in your browser
On this landing page, two things, and neither leaves your device. The calculator remembers in local storage the last number of cameras and months you tried. The language switcher leaves a temporary session marker to know you already chose.
We do not read them and never receive them: they live in the browser and clearing the site data removes them. The landing page has no forms, loads no analytics and no third-party scripts.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy over time. If the change is significant, we will announce it through the product's own channels. We suggest checking back occasionally.
